If you are nervous or worried about what they will ask you during the interview and how to answer the
best advice I can give you is to create your best answers.
Financial questions often ask about your parent's jobs, how you will pay for school, how much school costs, about living expenses, and common things relating to your study. We also train students to answer about living expenses as additional preparedness.
Depending on your country and culture, talking about parents money may be tricky or difficult. Some countries students do not know alot about parents actual jobs, and certainly not how much they earn.
Another situation is students not wanting to brag or talk about how well their parents are doing. This is a mistake.
I had one student, the parents had a huge factory for processing fish, 14 fishing boats, and were quite rich. When asked about the dad's job they answered "He is a Fisherman".
This is a time to make your parent's jobs important and meaningful. Find their successes.
Opposite to this situation are students who try and lie to make themselves sound rich
Usually the interviews are short with not may questions. The questions are not predictable at all however most get asked the most important questions.
A fatal error in computing is when something goes wrong and the program shots down, stalls, or terminates without warning. Most F1 Visa Rejections are like this. SOmething goes seriously wrong and its the end, a 214(b) Rejection is issued, the Visa Officer says they are sorry and goodbye.

This is where I ask students about what they were asked and said and then try and figure out what went wrong. In fact this is where i get a lot of the information on how to pass the interviews, by finding out what caused others to fail.
I really love to do practice interviews and help students find their fatal errors before the interview. This work is much more fun than after students fail.
Although some cases are difficult to understand because I am not in the room during the interview, the majority are easy to identify answers that the Visa Officer will not like.
These answers can be in any question or topics. The Visa Officers know all about you and your school before the interview and can easily find your weak points. it is unnerving for students and they often feel depressed and confused.
There is a very important part of the F1 Visa Interview that most do not consider when applying for student status in the USA.

What most students do not realize is that every applicant is considered an immigrant. You must prove to the Visa Officer (VO) that you are not an immigrant.
This USA Law is what the Visa Officers must be sure that the student is not in any way wanting to immigrate. Of course, the American Dream is the dream of many students, parents of students, and especially family members already in the USA.
There are many reasons that people fail the F1 Interview.

What you need to understand if you do not pass is was it possible to pass or was your plan not ok.
